5 Days of Fundamentals Exploration Sketches & Study Model Personal Project

Description

• In this self-initiated exploration, I challenged myself to conceptualise spatial strategies across five key architectural themes over five consecutive days: form, facade, floor plan, poetics of space, and physical daylight modelling.

• With each day, I explored how design can harmonise sustainability, community, and poetry. This project reflects my innovative design process and my belief that meaningful architecture starts with asking questions, sketching boldly, and experimenting with light, scale, and atmosphere.

Challenges Faced & Overcome

• I selected the essential concepts to explore for each day of the exploration sketches by prioritising those that blend sustainability, community, and poetic design, as well as those with strong potential for further development.

• I addressed the challenge of creating a clear study model within only a few hours by focusing on modelling essential elements, such as the floor slabs, spacious atrium, and skylight ceiling, to ensure design clarity.
